How much oil to pour into Kalina engine

The manufacturer recommends pouring 3.5 liters of oil into the engine crankcase

. It is this volume that is necessary for the normal operation and functioning of the car’s lubrication system. But if for some reason it is not possible to measure the volume, fill in engine oil until it is between the MIN and MAX marks on the dipstick.

How to change brake fluid on LADA “Kalina”

To facilitate access to the brake cylinder fittings, it is better to replace the fluid by installing the “Kalina” on an inspection hole or a lift. Otherwise, you will have to remove the wheels to gain access to the brake cylinders. The procedure for replacing brake fluid on a LADA Kalina is as follows:

  • open the hood;
  • unscrew the cap of the brake fluid reservoir;
  • place the tank lid on a clean cloth;

  • unscrew the fitting approximately half a turn so that the old brake fluid begins to come out of the cylinder (at this time the brake pedal will “sink”);
  • when the liquid stops coming out and the pedal goes all the way, tighten the fitting;
  • repeat the operation several times until clean new brake fluid comes out of the brake cylinder;

Important: when replacing brake fluid, you should constantly monitor the level in the reservoir and add fluid in a timely manner. Otherwise, air will enter the brake circuit and you will have to bleed the brake system.

  • in the same way, sequentially replace the fluid in the left front, left rear and right front working brake cylinders;
  • check the tightness of the brake cylinder fittings and the presence of caps on them;
  • add brake fluid to the reservoir to the maximum level;
  • screw on the tank cap;
  • close the hood.

The Lada Kalina hatchback car began production back in 2008. Just like the rest of the Kalina family, it belongs to the cars of the second group, the small class. Built on the basis of a sedan, it has virtually unchanged technical characteristics.

Perhaps the only thing that has undergone any changes is the body itself. Its rear end is something between a sedan and a station wagon. That is, the Lada Kalina hatchback does not have a separate luggage compartment, and at the same time, its dimensions are more smooth.
